Resumen
Many economists considered the Subprime Crisis, which took place in 2008, as the worst financial crisis since the Crash of the New York Stock Exchange in 1929. This study aims to compare two visions neoclassical and behavioral thoughts about the crisis, paying particular attention the main assumptions for the analysis of the crisis in question. The neoclassical perspective, the hypothesis of asymmetric information, and behavioral economics, the study of psychological variables that affect the decisions of economic agents. The article concludes that both lines of thought have plausible analysis of the Subprime Crisis, although both possess flaws.
