| dc.description.abstract | This work starts from an attempt to inquire how architecture can translate elements from other disciplines to make itself consistent. For example, we can translate some questions related to art into the field of architecture in order to make architecture itself. Our conception of translation is beyond the linguistic meaning and consists on the processes of transformations for mutual attritions through which the bodies are formed. Thus, in this approach of translation, the research happened more in the processes of exchange between the disciplines, in order to analyze some repercussions in architecture. About the structure of the work, as we decided for the problem of the translation as a process of transformation and formation, it defined the organization of the research in Parts, that can be readen in an independent way, differently from the sequential order of Chapters. We approach the translation in architecture through a look of happening-again, which we call fallen again, that is, once the problem is presented, it reappears in other forms throughout the text, as the translation of the translation. In the Prologue, we announce, from the biblical text of Babel, the problem of the translation as a way of construction in architecture. In Part II, we theorize translation in architecture up to defining the model of pregnância1between the terms that are being translated. In Part III, we register some exercises of translation, starting from some questions related to art that can influence the processes of transformations and formations in architecture. And, in our final part, which we preferred to call penultimate part, once a text is never closed to be transformed, we present somerepercussions of this version of translation, which is almost a literary theory for architecture. | |
