The Mobility of cities is a social and sustainability problem. The modern ideology of urbanization resulted in large cities taken by cars, with degraded spaces and empty of people. The urban mobility from the point of sustainability aims to break the modern paradgm and prioritization of people and active modes of transport. The use of bicycle in the urban environment causes more Interact of the user whith the enviroment while traveling and thus helps in the ressumption of public space. Electric bicycles enhance the advantages of conventional bicycles with the help of the electric motor, which provides more accessibility and allows greater distances. Because they are a recent phenomenon, electric bicycles still raise some questions related to the understanding of the modal and the regulation of its use. The case study analyzes the insertion and popularization of electric bicycles in Paraopeba from a research done with relevant actors and modal users. The research pointed out that the modal has a great acceptance among the city's residents and that it is used for daily commutes such as going to work and taking the children to school. It was also identified some incidents occurred due to the space dispute with other modes the recklessness of users and mainly the lack of something that regulates their use. In this way, the study points out important guidelines for understanding the phenomenon of electric bicycles and concludes that these are shown as a promising vehicle for urban mobility.
