Ações do enfermeiro no cuidado da pessoa portadora de câncer de pulmão em tratmento quimioterápico

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the actions of the nurse in person with lung cancer undergoing chemotherapy. We chose the method of integrative review. The study population was constituted by the bibliographic databases to the next through the basic form of the LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences), MEDLINE (Medical LiteratureAnalysis and Retrieval System Online), SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) and BDENF (Database of Nursing), the virtual health library - VHL, totaling 194 articles. The sample consisted of 11 scientific publications that met the proposed objectives and criteria for inclusion. Among the studies analyzed was observed that the global actions of the nurse to chemotherapy most often cited were: the formulation and / or use of questionnaires directed to the patient undergoing chemotherapy and / or its symptoms and / or adverse reactions, and Promotion education regarding the treatment and health-disease process;creator of a link between the patient and staff; promoter communication with the patient by phone and e-mail in order to minimize and prevent injuries to the health of this patient and / or improve their quality of life. From this study, we find a gap in Brazilian publications in relation to studies and publications by nurses regarding nursing care to people with lung cancer undergoing chemotherapy. Further studies are needed to evaluate aspects of the provision of nursing care related to lung cancer in chemotherapy whereas, according to the National Cancer Institute (2010), the incidence of lung cancer has increased significantly inrecent decades.
