dc.description.abstract | This work presents the proposal of an optimization model, which aims to minimize the slag volume of blast furnace at Aperam. Currently, a mathematical model is used to calculate the mass balance, which does not perform any type of optimization on the variables. It is still necessary to manually adjust the model input parameters by the operational team, following the limits of the variables, established a priori by the process control team. Through the identification of the nonlinear functions of the mathematical model, a Linear Regression was applied to model a Mixed Integer Linear Programming problem. This model is solved using a technique similar to Linear Sequential Programming. The results presented demonstrate the efficiency of the model, which not only eliminated the need for manual adjustment but also presented less slag volume and obtained a reduction in the consumption of fluxes. | |
