Informação estratégica para o desenvolvimento de políticas de informação: análise do evento Cúpula Mundial sobre a Sociedade da Informação

Abstract

The aim is to develop a research on the World Summit on the Information Society - WSIS, convoqued by the United Nations - UN, organized by the International Union of Telecommunication IUT with the contribution of UNESCO, whose rounds took place in Geneva - 2003 and Tunisia 2005. It was developed a research on the final documents of the WSIS, in order to investigate what was discussed and planned by the participant countries for the development of Information Society. The goal was to comprehend how the WSIS information can be strategic for governments in developing national policies for information. It concludes that the WSIS has strategic information that can be used by the governments and also it has a character more economic and technologic than social.
