dc.description.abstractThe evaluation is a complex and important mean in teaching - learning process, being a major concern for teachers. This study aimed to identify and clarify the concepts and the different means of evaluation, with the main contemporary approaches existing in Physical Education. To understand the topic, this monograph describes the historical development and trends in physical education since joining the school curriculum. Then focused on the concepts of learning assessment. To finish the approaches taken were presented in the discipline and evaluation processes of the main theoretical guiding Physical Education. The analysis of these lines of thought had the main focus of the evaluation, ie how these authors worked and discussed the assessment within that school discipline. This review hopes to have clarified some of the many questions in evaluating the teaching and learning in Physical Education.
