dc.description.abstractThis study presents a simple way to determine and or verify normal pieces of reinforced concrete as beams, slabs and columns under fire conditions. There is no brazilian standard rules in this specific subject, then this study was based on EUROCODE (1995) and AppendixB of the revision project of NBR 6118 that was suppressed of the final version of NB 1 NBR 6118 (2003). The calculation is based on basic hypothesis of normal stress utilizing the reduction factors of mechanical property of the steel and concrete under fire conditions. Examples using the fire conditions are processed and compared to the results in normaltemperature showing the simple application of this methodology for structural engineers.
