Research in communication, due to its multiple possibilities of interfaces, has various theoretical and methodological approaches. This article aims to suggest that multi-sited ethnography is a promising way to reach communicational objects, especially those involving relations with humanities with whom we have a lack of sufficient familiarity to find them interesting and whose subaltern voices and lives do not reverberate in the corporate media circuits. The article also aims to highlight how ethnography and dialogue with anthropological theories can be productive in the field of communication in that they allow for a decentralization of the markedly media sphere (although in relation to and in relation with it) to reach the theories of subjects in communication, seeking a horizon of symmetry from which there is an incidence of native cosmologies in communicational thinking itself.
