Resumen
This is a study of narrative review, which analyzed national literature scientific literature on factors related to non-adherence to pap smear, women aged 25 to 59 years. The population was composed of the articles indexed in two national databases: (LILACS and BDENF). The sample therefore consisted of 15 articles, selected by the descriptors that have guided the choice criteria. The literature review covered the period from 2001 to 2009, with free search those articles published in Portuguese that mention the subject factors associated with not performing pap tests. Given the findings in the reviewed journals can be seen that there is concern about how the health service has been conducting the procedure pap smears to women clients of UBS. Among the reasons cited for the non-completion of the examination were reported with greater frequency, difficulty in marking, lack of knowledge of women about the exam, fear, shame, and feeling distressed front of the exam. Schooling and socioeconomic status of women also has been implicated as determinants of non-completion of the pap test. These findings allowed me to conclude that it is necessary to make local studies with women of the area covered by ESF Pity II, to diagnose the lack of them, having as variables driving the results of the studies analyzed, showing thus the need for : to expand the educational activities to raise awareness among women of the importance of the exam and Pap minimize the sentiments of fear, shame and fear of the examination result; hold listening prior to perform the test, do the tracking by an active search for women aged of age called for by the entire health team, humanization by professionals to create empathy and thus share the feelings of women during the pap smear.
