| dc.description.abstract | Citation analysys of the papers published in: Revista da Escola de Biblioteconomia da UFMG, Ciência da informação, Revista de Biblioteconomia de Brasília e Revista Brasileira de Biblioteconomia e Documentação, from 1972 to 1982, in order to study the Brazilian library literature. Itens anallized: bibliographic form, language, age, geographic distribution of the citations; most cited periodicals, most cited authors, multiple or single authorship, self-citation, most productive authors X most cited authors. In relation to the Brazilian periodicals, self-citation and reciprocal influence between the periodicals were studíed. Owing to the great number of citations, the Statistical Package for Social Sciences was used to analyse the data. The results of the citation analyses allowed the attainement of the proposed objectives and the panorama of Brazilian library literature. Other studies were suggested to get a more comprehensive vision of the subject. | |
