Currently the gourmet word is used in reference to a sophisticated fastest growing segment in the market. The change in consumption habits by the population mobilizes businesses and causes the need to specialize to offer the market what they have best to offer. In this scenario, the production of specialty coffees has been exploited by the coffee industry and the results are positive for investors with a differentiated strategy, regardless of the size of your business. There are opportunities, therefore, for the coffee producer: a holder specialist raw materials. Still, the new player in the premium segment are challenged to develop a distribution model that overcomes the traditional barriers to commercialization of this product. Alternatively, this work proposes a personalized direct sales of high value added products, gourmet coffee directly from the producer to the final consumer, in the Belo Horizonte city.
