dc.description.abstract | The National Policy on Integral Health of the Black Population was created in 2009 with the objective of reducing inequalities in access, combating ethnic-racial prejudice in health services and implementing the principle of equity, as recommended by the Unified Health System SUS). Access to health services for black peoples has been restrict over the years because of the racial prejudice history still prevalent in the country, and myths such as that blacks would be more resistant to pain was also present in the imaginary of the Brazilian population. However, studies have proved the untruth of these facts and that some diseases such as sickle cell anemia, type 2 diabetes, arterial hypertension, hemolytic anemia among others, specifically affect black and brown people. In view of this situation and based on the restlessness of the researcher as a user of the health services, this study seeks to verify if there was the implementation of Portaria 344/2017 that established the requirement of color / race in the registers of health services, the request of the self declaration of racial belonging, as well as the updating of the registers. In order to carry out the research, it was sought for authors that deal with the issue of racial in Brazil, legislation they treat at access the black population to health services, in websites and articles, as well as conducting field research in the Unit Basic of Health Aarão Reis in Providencia neighborhood in Belo Horizonte and with residents of its territory, the which was essential to understand if the identification of racial belonging is requested and what factors interfere in its effectiveness. This work aims to sensitize managers of importance and implement actions so that people belonging to the black / black race are referred to the specific treatments according to the policy, in order to guarantee access to their health promotion rights. | |
