Resumen
In this work, an approach based on the Singularities Expansion Method (SEM) is employed for the characterization Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) of filamentary antennas through a semi-analytical representation of an effective height operator. The antennas natural resonances (singularities) used for determining that operator are obtained, directly in Time- Domain using polynomial algorithms, such as the Prony method, or linear, as the method Matrix Pencil, from the impulsional induced current calculated by a program based on Time-Domain Electric Field Integral Equation (TD-EFIE). The effective height operator can be used in the calculation of important parameters associated with UWB antennas, such as the gain operator, the transfer function, the time-independent radiation pattern and energy diagram, allowing a unified characterization in the temporal and spectral domains. Case studies involving the construction of the impulse response of induced currents and the subsequent characterization of an antenna composed of wires are provided to demonstrate the applicability of the method developed here.
