dc.description.abstractThe objective of this study was to investigate and analyze in a school in the municipality of Araçuaí issues related to sexuality, homophobia, transphobia, prejudice and discrimination. And from the results develop an intervention project, with activities to work with students and teachers, in order to combat prejudice and homophobia in school. The first part refers to a brief report on homophobia and transphobia in the school environment and the vulnerability of LGBTT of Araçuaí population, school, family and society in general. Affirmative public policies implemented in order to ensure citizenship and human rights, encouraging respect for diversity of gender. The second part refers to the analysis of the data, the actions that have worked with the students in order to promote behavior change in relation to the LGBTT colleagues, thus avoiding practices of gender inequality homophobic.
