Resumen
The first aim of this paper is to examine the foundations of Hannah Arendt 's criticism of
representative democracy. To do so, it will be necessary to retake the central aspects of her analyzes of
Greek democracy, including her invectives against the tradition of Political Philosophy that has obscured
its authentic meaning. Secondly, the article attempts to demonstrate that Arendt's reservations about
representative democracy does not, in anyway, lead to its complete rejection.
