dc.description.abstractThis paper presents and evaluates some methodologies employed in teaching visual arts in elementary and high schools. It reports the history paths of art education in Brazil and some methodologies used today, their planning, research, implementation, expectations and conclusions. It points out possibilities for teaching visual arts and highlights some methodologies such as experience and reference for use in the classroom. Discusses how the teaching of visual arts can be diverse and their innovative methodologies able to arouse the interest of students and achieve the goals proposed by the teachers.
