dc.description.abstract | There are several considerable effects of meteorology conditions on constructions, which are often neglected, resulting in financial loses, delay of constructions, low services quality, and security risks for all employees. This influence creates a huge concern mostly for civil workers of micro and small companies, since they have less range to absorb losses and fewer technical resources to compensate scheduling delays. However, the mentioned effects are not limited to this kind of enterprises. This work aims to develop a computational tool, which helps the construction manager to make decisions related to activities affected by meteorological conditions, more specifically the activities of concrete pouring and curing, execution of plaster, and extern painting. The related activities were analyzed according to the rainfall probability in each period of the day, generating reports for all 40 meteorological condition provided by INPE. Additionally, this tool was designed as a website, which is easily accessible through any computer or smartphone device with internet connection. Hence, its population reach is spread and the tool can be accessed by anyone who has interest on its information. Generated reports covers the completely Brazilian territory and were elaborated in a simplified form to facilitate the interpretation of the results. For the design of this work’s tool, researches were focused in technical norms and books, and in specifications to obtain parameters to evaluate the impact on rainfall on the studied construction activities. Finally, after completing programming stages, it was possible to conclude that the developed tool is stable and fully functional, achieving its main purposes. It is expected that it becomes an efficient technical tool for activities management of all kind of construction agents. Thus, the construction sector will be professionalized and services will consequently become more efficient. Furthermore, it is also expected that the tool turns to an important vector of interest in construction management, so that many of construction agents, which still operates in an artisanal way, can get in contact with this area through a simple computational tool. | |
