Resumen
This study aims to examine the situation of cancer control of the cervix in women ranging in age from 25 to 59 years in the Basic Health Units (BHU) Master Fields and St. Benedict in the city of Piranga. From a narrative review, we analyzed national literature scientific production related to the situation of cancer control of the cervix in women aged priority for screening. Even with the possibility of early detection through Pap tests, women are still not doing a Pap smear and dying of cancer of the cervix. Despite the efforts have not achieved the targets recommended by the Ministry of Health, and various factors involved in the persistent low coverage of Pap smears as those related to the disruption of health services and all related to women. Data analysis and corroborating with the literature, it appears that UBS also mentioned in the coverage of Pap smear is low and the targets are not reached. This reality is beginning to change with the introduction of rotary binder that will allow a better control of the team in relation to the test by women aged 25 to 59 years.
