Resumen
In the context of collaborative web and social-technical mediation, the intensification of information flows and the increasing on the possibility of engagement of new practices related to the organization of information can be verified in digital collaborative environments. Spammers are subject and or automatic procedures that engage assignment practices metadata and linguistic behavior, that spread spam coupled to the greater popularity of content, in order to increase the visibility of it. This research aimed to identify, systematize and analyze, based on the perspective of Peircean Semiotics, the information behavior of video sharing spammers in digital collaborative environments using natural language as a way of managing information. Besides, it was an opportunity to deepen the discussion on the spammer practice considering three movements : technical infrastructure (spammer description as a computational issue and as an informational issue); representation and description (spammer as a practical alternative to the information representation); and social-cultural appropriation (network appropriation of action because of this practice). For the study it was adopted Peircean Semiotics as theoretical framework and triangulation methods. Netnography was adopted for monitoring, observation, identification, description of activity logs and content analysis for the description, interpretation, making inferences and categorization of spammers practices. It was taken as empirical reference the YouTube video sharing website. A description and type of spammer practice and the analysis of the impact on the organization and information retrieval in video sharing digital collaborative environments were the results obtained from this study.
