Congregaciones religiosas de la iglesia católica en Argentina : características y flujos

Abstract

Resumen: El escrito aporta una caracterización global de las congregaciones religiosas femeninas y masculinas presentes actualmente en Argentina. Sobre la base de un modelo histórico y otro organizacional, analiza la evolución del número de congregaciones, de religiosos/as, y de su peso en comparación con otros especialistas célibes del campo católico. Se adentra asimismo en aspectos vinculados a su origen, a sus estructuras, a su presencia institucional y al espacio social que han ido ocupando. El texto propone hipótesis para comprender la situación actual del colectivo en estudio en Argentina.

Abstract: The article provides a global characterization of female and male religious congregations/orders currently present in Argentina. Based on historical and organizational models, it analyses the growth in the number of congregations, its members and their weight compared to other celibate specialists in the Argentinean Catholic field. The article also focuses on issues related to their origin, their structures, their type of presence, and the social space they have been occupying. The text proposes hypotheses to understand the current situation of religious orders in Argentina.
