dc.description.abstractResumen: El artículo repasa la presencia de cultismos latinos en la traducción castellana de las Prophetiae Merlini de Godofredo de Monmouth interpolada en los Baladros de Burgos (1498) y Sevilla (1535) y concluye que el literalismo que caracteriza esta versión vernacular no se aplica a su léxico. Adicionalmente, la escasez de cultismos y la datación relativamente antigua de los presentes sugieren que nuestro romanceamiento podrfa no haber sido producido durante el siglo xv
dc.description.abstractAbstract: The article reviews the presence of Latinisms in the Castilian translation of the Prophetiae Merlini by Geoffrey of Monmouth interpolated in the Baladros from Burgos (1498) and Seville (1535), and concludes that the literalism that characterises this vernacular version does not apply to its vocabulary. Additionally, the shortage of Latinisms and the relatively old date of those present in the text suggest that our translation might not have been produced during the 15th century
