dc.description.abstract"This article presents the key elements of the Social Market Economy, political economy and economic policy’s approach. This approach is important, in the author’s view, in sight of its explicit relation with Christian social thought and as an economic system of organization suitable for the Latin American case. As a consequence, the article develops the central elements of this conception, its origins, the framework of Christian social thought from where it emerged, the list and exposition of its socio-political, economic and institutional principles, to conclude with a summary of the main lessons for the case of Latin American economies..."
