Potencial de la banca ética en la generación de nuevas alternativas de inversión en el Valle de Aburrá

RESUMEN: La finalidad del trabajo se basa en determinar la capacidad y el potencial de la banca ética en el Valle de Aburrá, como una nueva alternativa de banca de inversión en el contexto, dándole paso a alternativas sostenibles y de inclusión.
Se partió desde un análisis a los factores políticos, económicos, sociales, tecnológicos
y ambientales, con los que se buscó determinar las oportunidades y las brechas
existentes para la banca ética, en este se puede destacar la carencia de equidad
económica y social existente, la baja inclusión financiera de las personas y las empresas,
las limitaciones tecnológicas que impiden la bancarización y las oportunidades de
inversión ambiental y social existentes.
Se identificaron las diferentes alternativas de captación y colocación de la banca ética
ofrecidas por entidades del exterior, así como sus principales diferencias con los
productos ofrecidos por la banca tradicional colombiana.
Se reconoció el interés potencial de las personas naturales y las empresas del Valle
de Aburrá, mediante una encuesta realizada a 384 personas y una entrevista semi
estructurada a 10 empresas, en las cuales se pretendía conocer tanto el conocimiento
como la aceptación e inclinación de las personas sobre las características de la banca
ética, se pudo encontrar una alta inclinación e interés por las alternativas éticas, así como
un alto desconocimiento de la banca ética en las personas naturales.
Por último, se procedió a la validación de los resultados encontrados con una entidad
financiera y con dos académicos con conocimientos en inversión, banca y riesgos,
identificando así como las entidades financieras han empezado a migrar a una modalidad
de banca más sostenible, apostándole a inversiones verdes y con consciencia de
inversión, se identificaron las principales barreras que se vislumbran como lo son la baja
inclusión financiera y la informalidad, se detallaron las oportunidades de cambio a una
banca más ética y cómo se podría transformar ABSTRACT: The purpose of this work is based on determining the capacity and potential of ethical banking in the Valle de Aburrá, as a new alternative for banking and investment in the context, giving way to sustainable and inclusive alternatives. It started from an analysis of political, economic, social, technological, and environmental factors, with which it was sought to determine the opportunities and representative gaps for ethical banking, in this we can highlight the lack of existing economic and social equity, the low financial inclusion of people and companies, technological limitations that impede bank access, and existing environmental and social investment and development opportunities. The different
alternatives for attracting and placing ethical banking offered by foreign entities were
identified, as well as their main differences with the products offered by traditional
Colombian banking. The potential interest of individuals and companies in the Valle de
Aburrá was identified through a survey of 384 people and a semi-structured interview with
10 companies, in which it was intended to know both the knowledge and the acceptance
and inclination of the people regarding the characteristics of ethical banking, it was
possible to find a high inclination and interest in ethical alternatives, as well as a high
ignorance of ethical banking in natural persons. Finally, the results found in the course of
the research were validated with a financial institution and with 2 professors with
knowledge in investment, banking and risks, thus identifying the entities financial
institutions have begun to migrate to a more sustainable banking modality, betting on
green investments and with investment awareness, the main barriers that can be seen in
banking were identified, such as low financial inclusion and informality, but the
opportunities of change from banking to more ethical banking and how it could be
transformed
