Trabajo social en La Tebaida

Abstract

El Eje Cafetero se vio afectado por un devastador sismo ocurrido el 25 de enero de 1999. Por ello fue necesario que la Nación destinara recursos para su reconstrucción, asignándose una ONG a cada municipio o zona para que asumiera la gerencia de su reconstrucción. En el caso de La Tebaida fue la Corporación Antioqula Presente la ONG elegida para ello. Este informe trata sobre el trabajo social de voluntariado realizado para la CAP por los estudiantes de ingeniería civil de la Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia durante el primer semestre del año 2000 en el proceso integral de reconstrucción del municipio de La Tebaida. Las labores realizadas se centraron en la interventoría de obras de vivienda, lo cual comprende varias actividades que son explicadas a cabalidad en este informe. También se incluyen otras actividades complementarias ajenas a la interventoría, así corno resultados, conclusiones y recomendaciones.

ABSTRACT: In January the 25th of 1999, the traditional coffee.-plantation area in Colombia (Eje Cafetero) was nearly devastated by an earthquake. Therefor the Nation had to release funds for its reconstruction through NGO's (non governmental organizations) for every town or specific area. The CAP was eected to assume this challenge for La Tebaida (a town severely damaged). This paper is about the social work made by the students of the E/A during the first semester of the year 2000 as volunteers at the reconstruction process of La Tebaida. The mentioned volunteers worked for the CAP as supervisors (interventores) of the constructions or reparations of family houses. Al¡ the activities related to the supervision (interventoría) are explained in detall, as well as others that are complementary. The paper also iricludes results, conclusions and recommendations.
