dc.description.abstractCon miras a dar paso a un estudio más amplio sobre la influencia de actores sociales en la protección judicial de derechos humanos, el presente trabajo se ocupa, por un lado, de plantear una propuesta metodológica para explorar empíricamente la manera como las organizaciones no gubernamentales influyen en la difusión de normas de derechos humanos entre actores judiciales a nivel nacional, y, por el otro, del análisis de la independencia judicial en Guatemala y El Salvador, de acuerdo con el diseño institucional. Esto último, esperando que mayores garantías institucionales hagan más factible la protección judicial de derechos humanos, lo que a su vez impactaría en beneficio del Estado de derecho y la calidad de la democracia.
dc.description.abstractWith the objective of diving into a wider study on the influence of social actors in the judicial protection of Human Rights, the present work presents a methodological proposal to empirically explore the way in which non-governmental organizations influence the dissemination of Human Rights norms among judicial actors at a national level. It also presents an analysis of judicial Independence in Guatemala and El Salvador, in terms of institutional design. This last issue in the hope that larger institutional guarantees will make the judicial protection of Human Rights more feasible, which would also positively affect the state of rule of law and the quality of democracy.
