Propuesta para la creación de la ruta cicloturística Bogotá-Villa de Leyva, que incluya buenas prácticas en sostenibilidad bajo el enfoque de cadena de valor

Abstract

El proyecto consiste en el diseño de la ruta turística de Bogotá a Villa de Leyva en bicicleta que incluya prácticas sostenibles bajo el enfoque de cadena de valor. Inicialmente se realiza una revisión bibliográfica del cual se elabora el diagnóstico sobre el estado del cicloturismo en Europa, Estados Unidos y Colombia. Se construye el perfil del cicloturista local mediante entrevistas a ciclistas en Bogotá y se mapea la ruta con los potenciales atractivos a visitar a través de la cadena de valor; metodología que permite comprender y satisfacer motivaciones turísticas de quien viaja, mejorar la calidad de vida de la comunidad local, preservar el legado histórico-cultural del destino y preservar la sostenibilidad ambiental y económica del territorio. Los datos analizados permitieron obtener el diseño de la ruta turística, con énfasis en la bicicleta como vehículo alternativo para realizar turismo y transportarse hacia Villa de Leyva y sus atractivos turísticos. Se espera por lo tanto que las definiciones, conceptos y perfiles del cicloturista internacional (europeo y estadounidense) así como la caracterización del ciclista bogotano, permitan abordar a futuro el cicloturismo desde la creación de políticas públicas y de otros productos turísticos que aborden la bicicleta como elemento esencial del turismo.

The project consists in the design of the tourist route from Bogotá to Villa de Leyva by bicycle that includes sustainable practices under the value chain approach. lnitially, a bibliographic review is carried out, which is used to diagnose the state of bicycle tourism in Europe, the United States and Colombia. The profile of the local cyclist is constructed through interviews with cyclists in Bogotá and the route is mapped with the potential attractions to be visited through the value chain; methodology that allows to understand and satisfy tourist motivations of those who travel, improve the quality of lite of the local community, preserve the historical-cultural legacy of the destination and preserve the environmental and economic sustainability of the territory. The analyzed data allowed to obtain the design of the tourist route, with emphasis on the bicycle as an alternative vehicle for tourism and transportation to Villa de Leyva and its tourist attractions. lt is expected therefore that the definitions, concepts and profiles of the international cyclist (European and American) as well as the characterization of the local cyclist, allow future approach to bicycle tourism from the creation of public policies and other tourism products that address the bicycle as essential element of tourism.
