Revisión de los procesos de monitoreo y mitigación del factor riesgo, producidos desde la ola invernal de 2010-2011 en el río Bogotá y su área de influencia

La cuenca hidrográfica del río Bogotá, representa una de las estructuras económicas más productivas del país, esto debido al uso de los recursos naturales, los cuales son utilizados para el fortalecimiento de la economía. Sin embargo el crecimiento de estas actividades han traído malas prácticas, que generaron grandes impactos ambientales sobre el río Bogotá y con ellos problemas hidráulicos que afectaron a los pobladores de la cuenca. Se desarrollo una revisión bibliográfica de documentos publicados por entidades ambientales, universidades y otros estudios relacionados con la situación del río y se organizó la información para contextualizar al lector sobre la problemática actual, así como las acciones correctivas y preventivas que se han ejecutado a partir de la ola invernal de 2010-2011. El fenómeno climático La Niña, generó el aumento en la precipitación y por lo tanto el crecimiento de nivel de los cuerpos de agua nunca antes visto en más de 50 años. En la sabana de Bogotá se generaron graves problemas por el desbordamiento del río, por lo cual se desarrollaron planes de acción para mitigar los daños y prevenir eventos futuros. Entre estas acciones se destaca la adecuación hidráulica y recuperación ambiental del río Bogotá y la actualización de los planes de manejo de emergencias por desbordamiento de cuerpos de agua. Se concluye con que se debe hacer un uso racional de los recursos, siempre procurando el desarrollo sostenible, teniendo como base la educación de todos las personas involucradas en la cuenca del río Bogotá.
