dc.description.abstract | Objetivo: Describir los resultados refractivos y complicaciones de los pacientes a los que se les realizó implante de lente intraocular fáquico retroiridiano en el Hospital Militar Central, Bogotá-Colombia durante el periodo 2015-2018.
Métodos: Este artículo fue diseñado como un estudio tipo serie de casos, donde se valoraron los ojos que tenían implante lente intraocular fáquico retroiridiano ICL V4c para la corrección de la miopía moderada a alta. La agudeza visual sin corrección (AVSC) y con corrección (AVCC), refracción, presión intraocular (PIO), densidad de células endoteliales y complicaciones, fueron evaluados durante 6 meses.
Resultados: El estudio incluyó 46 ojos de 27 pacientes. El equivalente esférico (EE) promedio fue: -7,33 0,66DP, tras 6 meses postquirúrgicos el EE mejoro a -0,3110DP, con el 83% de ojos dentro del rango 0.50DP de objetivo refractivo y el 100% de ojos dentro de 1.00 DP. La AVSC promedio fue: 0,17 0,03 logMAR. Los índices de eficacia y seguridad fueron:0,68 y 0,82 respectivamente. En ningún caso hubo perdida de líneas de visión durante el seguimiento. La PIO se mantuvo estable en el tiempo, no se presentaron cataratas u opacidad del cristalino y la pérdida de células endoteliales fue del 0,2% tras 6 meses de seguimiento.
CONCLUSIÓN: Los resultados tras el implante de este nuevo tipo de lente respecto a todos los parámetros tomados en cuenta han sido promisorios, lo cual siguiere el uso del lente ICL V4c como una alternativa viable para el manejo de la miopía moderada- alta en Colombia.
