dc.description.abstractLa hemorragia subaracnoidea (HSA) es causada principalmente por la ruptura de aneurismas intracraneales. Se han descrito importantes factores de riesgo como la edad, el sexo, el tabaquismo, la hipertensión (HTA), el tamaño de los aneurismas y la estación del año, entre otros. La mortalidad es de hasta el 50%, hasta un 30% permanecen con secuelas graves y sólo un 30% pueden desarrollar sus actividades de forma independiente. La HSA requiere tratamiento inmediato para evitar nuevos eventos de sangrado. Actualmente no hay estudios de HSA en nuestra región evaluando la relación del tamaño de los aneurismas con los riesgos del tratamiento . Este estudio de cohorte retrospectivo se basa en el análisis de datos secundarios anonimizados, y el objetivo es evaluar la asociación entre el pronóstico y las complicaciones del tratamiento, con el tamaño de los aneurismas intracraneales de los pacientes atendidos con hemorragia subaracnoidea en la clínica FOSCAL en el periodo de enero de 2014 a marzo de 2019. Se realizará una descripción de las variables y análisis bivariado.
