Resumen
The prevention of injuries and illnesses caused by working conditions, protection and health promotion of the working population arouses interest on the part of managers, owners, business administrators and the Ministry of Labor, in promoting care of The health and safety of human talent.
Thus, for the fulfillment of this duty, the Ministry of Labor issues a decree through which it is formulated, adopts policies, general plans, programs and work projects.
This document intends to implement and develop the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, based on the single regulatory decree of the labor sector (Decree 1072 of 2015); which consists in the development of a logical and phased process, based on continuous improvement and that includes the policy, organization, planning, application, evaluation, audit and improvement actions in order to anticipate, recognize, evaluate and control the risks that may affect occupational safety and health.
This logical process, also called the General System of Occupational Safety and Health, SGSST, must be led by the employer with the collaboration of the workers, guaranteeing through said system, the application of occupational safety and health measures, the improvement of workers' behavior, conditions and working environment, and the effective control of hazards and risks in the workplace.
