dc.description.abstractIn Colombia, there are several cities which deal with different difficulties in fields such as housing deficits, education and health services, road mesh, public spaces and territorial planning, in addition to economic disparity. Puerto Carreño is a clear example of this. When we realize the inhumane situation that these communities are living, has emerged the question: How through an architectural project can be improved the quality of life of the most vulnerable residents of Puerto Carreño? Which, under quantitative, qualitative analysis and a suggested phase responds to the development of a mixed-use architectural project where the administration of different situations unlocks the possibility of giving opportunities for social, economic and cultural progress in an inclusive way. This is represented in the design and projection of three periods against a strategic urban development involving of accommodation, educational equipment, a health center that supports the regional hospital and an urban proposal for recovery and articulation environmental. The project put emphasis on the first stage without avoiding the urban development of the following two. Which consists of 216 households, the design of the educational equipment and different places integrating the common area built through the liberation of the different parts and environmental managing; allowing an articulation between the exterior and interior space or different project scenarios (equipment - housing). Where the premise is spatial continuity in a way that this could be inclusive for users, regarding and adjusting in an integral way to the customs and immediate surroundings of the community. Additionally, a design is suggested where water becomes an crucial element scoring and mitigating one of the current difficulties that the populations of Puerto Carreño confront, now than its location limits with three rivers (Vita River, Orinoco River and Meta River). By this way, an equilibrium will be generated in the city, answering back to the environment, social, architectural and economic development. Improving different places, through of the articulation of structural axes under the use land systems - occupancy, environmental system, filled - empty space, ecological structure and making way to a quality of life as a fundamental right for each resident.
