Resumen
The research presents the developement phase relevant information related to the learned styles of studies in six programmes of undergrade of the Universuty Santo Tomàs, the learned styles described by Keefe ( 1998 , cited by Alonso, Gallego y Honey, ( 1994)” are congnitive, affective and pshysilogical traits that serve as relatively stable indicators of how students perceive, interact and respond to the learning enviroments.
From this perspective, they respond to the way people understand their learning, communication, interaction with others, and the environment, therefore, will influence people’s responses to certain situations. Understanding that each student learns differently from others, uses different strategies, learns at different speeds, so it is worth noting that, beyond the existence of learning styles, students should not be classified in closed categories, as the way they learn is constantly evolving and changing.
The purpose of this research is to identify the learning styles of the students of the programs of Administration, bachelor’s degree in Biology, Degree in Child Education and Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Education through international test adaptations and once achieved this is intended to carry out the design of a virtual classroom from the research findings. The research approach is mixed, given that qualitative and quantitative approaches are mixed and as Morse (2005) points out, cited in Vasilachis de Gialdino, Ameigueras A, Chernobilsky L, Gimenez V. and others (2009) are a particular way of approaching inquiry: a way of seeing and a way of conceptualizing a worldview coupled with a particular theoretical perspective to communicate and interpret reality.
The design of an internationally adapted test is currently under way, which has been passed through expert judgement for standardization and will be piloted for subsequent application to the target population, it is important to note that the sample is made up of distance learners from the Faculty of Education and Science and Technology, so the learning styles found in the research will guide learning processes in virtual classrooms under a design using tics and Tac, This involves the alignment of content and learning strategy based on the styles that are intended to identify as : active type of style in which subjects are open minded, no skeptics and enthusiastically tackle new tasks, tend to act first and then think about the consequences, who tend to take the position of an observer who analyses their experiences from many different perspectives, theorists who adapt and integrate the observations into complex theories and well grounded logically and pragmatically is the practical application of new ideas, theories and techniques, and check whether they work in practice.
Finally it is important to specify that learning styles as a field of research, makes it possible for teachers in the university context to know and identify the different styles and rhythms of learning of students, and in this way can guide successful academic processes that generate new didactic strategies for institutions to provide comprehensive training.
The research work in its development phase aims to obtain relevant information related to the learning styles of students of six undergraduate programs of the university Santo Tomás. The learning styles described by Keefe (1998 , quoted by Alonso, Gallego and Honey, ( 1994)" are the cognitive, affective and physiological traits, which serve as relatively stable indicators of how the students perceive, interact and respond to their learning environments.
From this perspective, they respond to the way people understand their learning, communication, interaction with others, and the environment, therefore, will influence people’s responses to certain situations. Understanding that each student learns differently from others, uses different strategies, learns at different speeds, so it is worth noting that, beyond the existence of learning styles, students should not be classified in closed categories, as the way of learning evolves and changes constantly
