Diseño de categorías psicológicas y criminológicas para un registro de asaltantes sexuales seriales

Abstract

In Colombia, violence has been one of the aspects that most affects the population; one of the different types is sexual violence, this is characterized by generating a very strong social impact, in addition to being statistically significant: between January and November of 2018 according to the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences (INMLCF) 24,523 carried out medico-legal exams for alleged sexual offense nationwide. To better understand this phenomenon it is necessary to point out that there are several forms of sexual violence and one of them is assault, which is defined as a type of sexual assault between strangers, at any time of day, anywhere, without restriction on sex nor in age, it presents itself in a single opportunity and is unrepeatable; It can occur through deception and the use of violence, whether physical or psychological and with a defined sexual purpose (Álvarez-Correa, 2004). In relation to this worrying problem and after carrying out a review of documents and bibliography, the lack of a specialized register for sex offenders in Colombia is evident, for which reason the present investigation arose, which aimed to construct some categories of psychological and criminological nature in order to design a record of information of serial sexual assailants that could become a useful systematization tool for criminal investigation in Colombia
