Validación de las metodologías para el cálculo de emisiones de dióxido de carbono equivalentes, emitidas y evitadas por los sistemas energéticas en las Zonas No Interconectadas-ZNI.

Abstract

The IPSE (Institute for Planning and Promotion of Energy Solutions for Non-Interconnected Areas), aims to meet the energy needs of areas of the country not belonging to the National Interconnected System (SNI), based on the implementation of renewable and conventional energies . IPSE currently has 47 installed systems, made up of photovoltaic solar panels, diesel plants and hybrid systems. In 19 of the projects in execution, through the application of the methodology developed by the Subdirectorate of Contracts and Follow-up, the CO2-eq emissions emitted and avoided were calculated. This document seeks to give continuity to the calculation of the remaining 28 energy systems. For this, a methodological validation was initially carried out based on the analysis of the procedures, reports and/or methodologies previously developed and implemented by the IPSE. Once the theoretical bases and their purpose were compared, the selection and correction of the 2021-II methodology developed by practitioners Natalia Jiménez and Edwin Galindo was carried out; From this, the calculation of the 28 missing projects was carried out. Additionally, through the development of a clear theoretical basis with the results obtained in this document, the same is concluded for the deputy direction of contracts and follow-up for the correction of previous projects incorrectly calculated, in order to contribute to the verification and establishment of the methodology selected as baseline in the Institution.
