Physical activity (PA), which represents any bodily movement produced by the muscles, together with exercise, which is any PA that improves and maintains the physical attitude, health and well-being of the person, are key components of the energy expenditure that represents the relationship between the consumption and the need for energy of the organism, while physical exercise (PE) is the planned, structured and repetitive activity that has the objective of improving or maintaining one or more components of the physical form. Changes in energy balance alter fat mass, therefore, it is reasonable to ask: What is the relationship between performing PA and PE with the decrease in adipose tissue? AF and EF influence adipose tissue both acutely and in the long term, therefore, the main direction of this monograph is to know factors that relate AF and EF with the decrease in adipose tissue based on scientific evidence updated. A bibliographic review of scientific studies was carried out in different databases such as PubMed, Medline, Elsevier, Scopus, among others. The type of article selected for the search were controlled and randomized clinical trials published in English and Spanish in the period between 2005-2020. Where it was concluded that, in individuals with abdominal obesity; activities with aerobic predominance reduced the volume of epicardial and pericardial adipose tissue, in turn, training programs that involve localized explosive force exercise cause a loss of localized fat mass in the upper and lower tips and abdominal fat.
