Resumen
The main objective of this study was to determine the relationship between the types of aggressiveness and the prehensile strength in schoolchildren of primary basic education in the city of Bogota-Colombia. The sample was made up of 122 students (51 boys and 71 girls) between 9 and 12 years old from a district school. Within the procedure, the modified AQ aggressiveness questionnaire and the Eurofit battery were applied in two sessions after warming up. The relevant results regarding direct and relational aggressiveness in girls, registered on the Likert scale (1,5; 1.4, respectively), standing at medium aggressiveness. While in children, a value of 1.5 was obtained for both types of aggressiveness, being classified equally in medium aggressiveness. In relation to the physical tests, no significant differences were found between the analyzed variables, however, we want to highlight a positive trend between prehensile strength and direct aggressiveness; while with less significance, there is a negative correlation of prehensile force with relational aggressiveness. As conclusions it is possible to observe in this study, that there is no significant correlation between the variables of prehensile strength and aggressiveness, however it can be highlighted that despite the fact that boys and girls obtained similar values in aggressiveness, it is they who present higher rates of aggressiveness, both direct and relational. It is also possible to conclude that height and weight are factors directly proportional to the performance of prehensile strength in boys; meanwhile, short girls are more aggressive compared to tall girls.
