Descriptive study in a transversal type, the target population was the soccer players from the team of Santo Tomás University. As an exclusion aspect was taken into account the players who did not regularly attend training. A survey was created to gather information and it was performed by the approval of experts and its reliability was measured by correlation coefficient in a test-retest, resulting in a value of 0.95. Results. A 83.3 % of the population have had a lesion doing sports; 53.3 % of these have had between 1 or 2 lesions. The period that reports the highest level of lesions was the competitive with 56.7 % and 10 % after competition. Discussion and Conclusions. There is a high percentage of sport lesions in football players, this leads individual to be outside the field of play for a while and decrease its physical condition, which in long term affects the whole team and also affect its health in a medium-term what is often irreversible, although the reported results are associated to other found studies, these risk factors are still not taken into account in the process of training.
