Resumen
This text examines two bets around the concept of rationality that can be considered contrary. On the one hand, there is the rationality that we will call “formal”, supported by the Peruvian philosopher Francisco Miró Quesada (1918-2019); and on the other, the rationality that we will call “plural”, represented by the Mexican thinker León Olivé (1950-2017). The objective of the present investigation is to analyze the arguments that underlie the theoretical proposals on reason exposed by these two authors, in order to answer the question: How is it possible to reconcile the conceptions of reason of Francisco Miró Quesada and of Miró Quesada? rationality of León Olivé? The work is structured in three chapters, the first, exposes some formulations around the problem of reason raised by Ibero-American philosophers. The second establishes the conditions of formal reason according to Francisco Miró Quesada's proposal. The third elucidates the conditions of the plural rationality formulated by León Olivé. Finally, we find the section of the conclusions in which the conceptions of rationality of Francisco Miró Quesada and León Olivé are contrasted in addition to making a critical examination of each of the bets.
