Resumen
In the present project, the evaluation of the mechanical physical behavior of the mortar block was carried out by adding and substituting the cement for a certain percentage of fly ash from the rice husk (cca), in the municipality of Guamo, Tolima. For this, 3 stages were proposed, which were divided as follows: In the first stage, tests were carried out to determine the chemical components of the ash, which the sum of silica, iron and aluminum oxides were greater than 70%, the minimum percentage required. in the norm to determine the material as pozzolanic, but with a burning loss greater than 10%. In stage two, the compression tests of the bricks modified with the cca and the normal ones were carried out, presenting a poor improvement in the resistance of the modified bricks, due to the high carbon content of the cca. In stage three, the finish and appearance of the bricks were demonstrated, obtaining an optimal appearance that did not affect theperformance of the bricks.
