Formulación de alternativas de aprovechamiento de residuos cortopunzantes gestionados por la empresa Sandesol S.A. E.S.P.

Abstract

Sandesol S.A. E.S.P. is a hazardous waste management company which develops activities of collection, transportation, temporary storage, treatment and/or use and final disposal, complying with the guidelines stipulated in Resolution 1164 of 2002 related to the integral management of hospital and similar waste. Thus, in this project an analysis of the current state was made, followed by the qualitative and quantitative characterization of the management of hazardous waste, which allowed detailing the type and quantities of waste managed, treated and transferred to its final disposal, so that, from this, the formulation of alternatives for the use of sharps waste was made, emphasizing that all waste can be taken advantage of as much as possible; this in order to contribute on the part of Sandesol S. A. E.S.P. to the reduction of waste to the environment.
