Currently, it seeks to respond to the high standards of educational quality in contrast to the problem of teacher training and professional training raised by UNESCO (2010). To fulfill the purpose of improving educational quality, national public policy recognized the need to strengthen educator training as the main strategy to achieve educational excellence. For this purpose, as of 2014 the government began the regulation and implementation of the required regulations, generating tension in the processes that at that time the Bachelor of Religious Education of the Santo Tomás University was implementing in the search for both the renewal of the registry qualified as its recognition as a program with high quality standards. Taking into account the above, it was necessary to carry out an investigation in which a methodological process of the qualitative paradigm was applied and with a documentary research approach in public policies focused on the quality of higher education; Investigative work that allowed to analyze the incidence of quality policies issued by the Ministry of National Education of Colombia in the Degree in Religious Education during the years 2015-2018.
