Resumen
In a society immersed in images, social reality enters through the eyes as Jesús de Miguel and Carmelo pinto (2002) would say, simultaneously granting us the perspective of the image as an instrument of analysis in social research and / or as a constructor of social reality. In addition to this, it is important to talk about the strong presence that the image has and acquires more and more in the city, making constant appearances in daily life, in both open and closed spaces, both publicly and privately. This can be seen in a number of places such as public transport, facades of houses and buildings, traffic signs, in general any place in public space, and in different manifestations, the image can go from television, movies, even advertising, flyers or graffiti, you can see the significance of the visual and images in society, since they are means that are communicating through signs, and that have more acceptance over time, with the Implementation of new and better techniques have the ability to expand the audience that receives them. This is why we can affirm that the image is an important part of social reality and thinking about it requires an exercise in reflection regarding different spheres and social dynamics among which is marginality, the institutionality of graffiti, the intervention of public space, communicative alternativeness and the representation of social realities through graffiti.
