La dignidad : un análisis comparativo en el libro de Job y El coronel no tiene quien le escriba.

Abstract

The interest of this research is to examine, both in a text emanting from sacred literatura, in this case the Judeo-Christian, and in a from one of the Comombian autor, the them of dignity. To achieve this task, a comparative análisis has been made betwen The book of Job (BHS 1997) and El coronel no tiene quien le escriba (2014), by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, mediated by de philosophical reflection of Javier Gomá Lanzón in his work Dignity (2019). This exercise tries to answer the cuestión of dignity, in both work; observing, through some of the behaviors of the protagonista characters, the concept of dignity that is being sustained. First of all, eacha story has been contextualized, takin into account the language in which ther were written; in the case The book of Job, Hebrew and Greek versión. Subsequently, in accordance with the postulates of Pimente-anduiza (1993), the texts have been compared with each other, observing their similarities and differences; then, the relationship betwen dignity and hope has been studied in depth. Finally, one of the conclusions drawn by the research has to do with the fact that dignity can be valued either in negative or positive terms, as the case maybe, by means of methaphors form the animal world, present in each of them.
