Resumen
The objective of this project was to design and simulate the operation of a three-bladed wind turbine with the climatic conditions of the department of Boyacá; The project began with the history of the first wind turbines that existed and their evolution until today, the external and internal parts that make up a wind turbine were also revealed, defining their functions.
An investigation was carried out on the different variables and equations that make a wind turbine work to produce electrical energy from the kinetic energy of the wind. A municipality with good wind conditions was established for the respective turbine analyzes.
Subsequently, the calculations were made for the design of the aerodynamic profile that makes up the wind turbine blade, the design of the entire structure was carried out in the Inventor software and its simulation in the ANSYS Fluent® software applying Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
As for the final part, when the simulation results are obtained, an analysis and conclusions will be carried out to establish possible improvements
