Resumen
This research assistant work was carried out with the objective of evaluating the changes of vegetable cover and its influence on the microclimate in three urban sectors of Villavicencio municipality, in order to determine that urban growth contributes to the increase of temperature, through the design of 15 maps that determine the change of vegetable cover types to make a comparison with metrological data (temperature).
In the results obtained, it was possible to identify that the greater the urban area, the temperature tends to increase; In 1991, the temperature peak was 26.96 °C compared to 2019, the highest temperature registered was 29.64 °C. Also, the areas occupied by the covers were compared, where in 1991 the percentage of the area occupied by urban zones was 35.9% with an area of 13.51 Ha and in 2019 the percentage occupied was 69.9% with 26.33 Ha, which indicates that there was an increase in urban zones, causing an increase in temperature, where these two variables have a directly proportional increase.
This study provides a series of data that can be used to make future decisions in land use plans (POT) and not affect the areas of vegetation coverage that are important in maintaining a lower wind chill, as well as to protect these areas and provide better management to sectors where human activities can continue to expand.
