Propuesta de optimización para la planta de potabilización de agua del Municipio de Zipacón (Cundinamarca)

Abstract

The project makes a diagnosis and technical evaluation of the present operation of the Potabilization Plant "LA VEDRA", located in the municipality of ZIPACON. Where it is intended to explain the particular operation of the plant in order to collect textual information for better understanding. In this way, various activities were carried out to develop a comprehensive diagnosis of the main elements that compose it and the way in which these are operating. The study of the operation of the plant was carried out in such a way that it was possible to determine the physical concepts that govern each of the elements that compose it, among which are the processes of measurement, dosage, coagulation, sedimentation, filtration and filter washing; this activity subsequently made it possible to identify possible problems in the operation of the plant and to generate, in parallel, the corresponding drawings with the plant components. Likewise, tests were carried out to know the physico-chemical characteristics of the water in such a way that an ideal treatment corresponding to the plant was determined. The report presents the conclusions, comments and recommendations found during the implementation of the project, as well as the mathematical calculations corresponding to the units.
