Resumen
In environmental, social and economic matters it is important that large industries, municipalities and departments choose to resort to good environmental practices through the implementation of strategic projects as presented in this work of evaluation of technologies (bokashi, vermiculture and composting) for the use of residential solid waste in the urban area of the municipality of Puerto Gaitán-Meta.
The development of this research was framed in a descriptive characterization perspective for identification purposes, a proposal made due to the evident lack of use of solid organic waste at home, which would benefit more than 17,912 inhabitants that constitutes the urban center of the municipality. The evaluation of three types of organic fertilizers (compost, vermiculture and bokashi) was carried out in four phases: selection of the population sample, collection and sampling of the waste, physicochemical characterization and selection of the most appropriate technology, sizing and design of a operation guide.
According to the evaluation of technologies; and taking into account the phases of the investigation, it was concluded that the most viable technology for the municipality of Puerto Gaitán Meta is earthworm technology adapting to environmental conditions, techniques, frequency, costs, profitability and physicochemical characteristics of the waste.
