Resumen
Introduction: The recognition of the perception of indigenous peoples about their health situation is fundamental for the development of interventions coherent with the identified health problems. This study aimed to recognize the perception Ette Ennaka about the health situation of the children of the Narakajmanta settlement, and its triangulation with epidemiological elements to build an intercultural ASIS. Methodology: Mixed study, sequential explanatory design, and cross-sectional. Results: The perception about the health situation of the children was not good, they considered that there is an increase in respiratory and diarrheal diseases, due to factors such as: bad physical characteristics of their current territory, destruction and contamination of their natural and cultural resources, insecurity food, little adherence of new generations to traditions and rituals, violation of their rights, underestimation of traditional medicine and lack of economic resources, by the transformation of their socio-economic model. Additionally, they perceive poor attention from health services and low physical and organizational infrastructure capacity to respond to their health needs. Discussion: The health situation of early childhood in Narakajmanta is similar to that of other indigenous children in the world, characterized by high rates of infectious and parasitic diseases, and difficulties in accessing health services. This is the first ASIS with an intercultural perspective in early childhood Ette Ennaka, representing an important input for the development of strategies aimed at overcoming the health problem.
