Resumen
Development as a social phenomenon becomes more complex to the extent that it works from
the territory. A thorough and exhaustive monitoring of the contextual effects of development
and its continuities or conflicts allows for a better understanding of the territory and therefore
the implementation of a much more effective public policy. For this purpose, La Jagua de
Ibirico is taken as a case study, given its economic implications, its strategic importance in
terms of geography and resources, and the recognition of a strong incidence of the armed
conflict within the municipality. The objective is to know the influence of the different actors
involved in the construction of a development model oriented to specific interests. A mixed
methodology is used with qualitative information gathering tools such as interviews, field diary
and map of actors.
